Why I switched from Adobe XD to Figma.
As a UI/UX designer, my experience with prototype and design tools has been ever-changing. Obtaining an experience engineering degree and as a designer in Adobe XD, a strong design tool, was a key milestone in my career. After a year of hands-on experience, though, I switched to Figma and realized its benefits in collaboration, auto layout, and responsive design.
One of Figma’s most notable characteristics is its real-time collaboration capabilities. It enables numerous designers to collaborate on the same project at the same time, enabling seamless cooperation and increasing efficiency. Collaborative design is made simple by instant feedback, rapid iterations, and shared design materials.
Figma’s web-based platform provides unrivaled flexibility and accessibility. I no longer had to worry about program installs or compatibility difficulties as a designer. I could access my projects using Figma from any computer with an internet connection, making remote work and collaboration a breeze.
Figma’s auto layout tool makes it easier to create responsive designs. I could develop components that automatically alter and resize based on content or size with a few clicks.
Figma empowers designers to create and manage design systems and component libraries. By establishing reusable components, styles, and assets, Figma ensures design consistency across projects. This feature proved invaluable when working on large-scale projects or maintaining a cohesive design language across multiple products.
